Marlenne Doss

Marlenne Doss is the Principal and founder of Doss Law Professional Corporation. She has been specializing in Wills and Estates Law, Immigration and Refugee Law, Real Estate Law, and Corporate Law since the inception of Doss Law in 2008.

She proudly provides the services and experience of a large firm without losing the personal touch, client care and compassion of a small firm. She has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court, the Federal Court of Appeal, and various tribunals including the Immigration and Refugee Board.

Marlenne attended law school at Queen’s University after graduating with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto. Thereafter, Marlenne gained experience as an instructor of paralegal and law clerk courses and practiced law in a firm specializing in immigration and refugee law. She has worked with a prominent intellectual property firm in Ottawa, where she gained exposure to a broad range of corporate, trade-mark, patent, tribunal and Federal Court of Appeal work.

Marlenne is also actively involved in providing seminars on various legal topics to her community and to various businesses. She has provided seminars on topics such as, “Estate Planning for Small Businesses”, “The Essentials of Estate Planning”, “Buying Your First Home”, and “Common Pitfalls in Real Estate Transactions”. Additionally, Marlenne serves as a board member at Little Miracles Childcare and Learning Centre. Outside of the legal world, Marlenne enjoys travelling, cooking, the theatre, cultural activities and time with her family.

Education & Court Admission

Marlenne was called to the bar in 2005. She obtained her law degree from Queen’s University in 2004. Prior to this, she graduated from the University of Toronto in 1999 with an Honors Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience and Psychology.

She is a member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario, a Notary Public and a Commissioner of Oaths in Ontario.
